Material Hold is used for any SmartJob™ and Task within a SmartJob™ that is lacking raw material. That SmartJob™ or Task will then be held at the Material Term. Once is material is received and available, Material Hold can be released and during a schedule that SmartJob™, or Task will be released from the Material Term.


If you know the SmartJob™ or Task you would like to place on Material Hold, you can search using either Global Search or Gantt Search. (see Global Search, Gantt Search Help Articles)


1. From the Gantt/Schedule Board click on any Task of the SmartJob™

    a. Click on the icon to bring up the details dialog.

2. From Global Search

    a. Click on the appropriate SmartJob™ to bring up the details dialog.


3. Click on the SmartJob™ level in the left panel. The General details tab for that SmartJob™ is now displayed.

a. Select either the SmartJob™ level, or the task level depending on what you would like to put on Material Hold.

b. Click on the “Material Hold” Checkbox.

c. Click on “Save” and a “Saved” message will appear.


4. If you have the checkbox for “Show Term Colors” turned on in Preferences

a. Then you will be able to see the tasks of the SmartJob are now on “Material Hold”.


When the next schedule runs those SmartJobs™ on Material Hold will be scheduled outside of the Material Hold Term


5. You can then remove the Material Hold by unchecking the checkbox in the same General details screen.

a. Click on “Save” and a “Saved” message will appear.
