You would place a SmartJob™ On Hold if you did not want any work performed on that SmartJob™, such as missing documentation, customer request, credit hold, etc.
If you know the SmartJob™ you would like to place on Hot, you can search using either Global Search or Gantt Search. (see Global Search, Gantt Search Help Articles)
1. From the Gantt/Schedule Board click on any Task of the SmartJob™
a. Click on the icon to bring up the details dialog
2. From Global Search
a. Click on the appropriate SmartJob™ to bring up the details dialog.
3. Click on the SmartJob™ level in the left panel. The General details tab for that SmartJob™ is now displayed.
a. Click on the “Hold” Button.
4. A Hold dialog will pop-up
a. You would then enter a Reason for the Hold
b. Any appropriate Notes
c. And click on the “Hold” button. A “Saved” message will appear.
5. If you have the checkbox for “Show Term Colors” turned on in Preferences
a. Then you will be able to see the tasks of the SmartJob™ are now on “Hold”.
When the next schedule runs those SmartJobs™ on Hold will be scheduled outside of the Hold Term.
6. You can then remove the Hold button in the same General details screen.
a. By clicking on the “Remove Hold”.
7. A Remove Hold dialog will pop-up and you would click on the “Remove Hold” button. A “Saved” message will appear.
