Making a SmartJob™ Hot will schedule all the tasks of that SmartJob™ as close to Now as possible. Every other scheduled task will be pushed out in time to make room for the Hot tasks. the only exceptions are any tasks that are currently in an Active status, meaning thay have has a transaction performed, such as a Start, but have not been Completed yet. The implication is that the rest of the schedule will be sacrificed for the Hot SmartJob™.

If you know the SmartJob™ you would like to make Hot, you can search using either Global or Gantt Search. (see Global SearchGantt Search articles)


1. From the Gantt/Schedule Board click on any Task of the SmartJob™.   

    a. Click on the icon to bring up the details dialog.


2. From Global Search

    a. Click on the appropriate SmartJob™ to bring up the details dialog.


3. Click on the SmartJob™ level in the left panel. The General Details tab for that SmartJob™ is now displayed.

    a. Click on the "Hot Orders" checkbox.

    b. Click on "Save" and a confirmation message will pop up.


4. If you have the checkbox for "Hot" turned on in Preferences

    a. Then you will be able to see the tasks of the SmartJob™ are now "Hot".


The next time the schedule runs all the tasks will ge rescheduled as close to Now as possible.details dialog for that SmartJob™ is now displayed.
