1. Navigate to Admin > Buses
2. Click on “Add New Profile”
3. Create unique Bus Profile name preferably one that will describe the defining characteristics of this profile.
a. Select whether this profile will be active at this point in time.
4. To begin the configuration of this specific bus profile, define the duration by selecting the number of weeks
a. Then the day of the week and time for the start of each bus
b. And then when the Bus will “close”, which means the engine will no longer attempt to reschedule that bus. The selections are based on 2 factors:
i. Whether the bus will close based on when the beginning, or end of the bus crosses a threshold.
ii. And the selection of that threshold.
5. Next you will define how much the set-up time defined in the router will be used.
a. And whether tasks within a bus can be “Pinned to Time”
b. Select which sections of the bus code will be used for this configuration in the order in which the sorting in each bus should occur
c. You can add rows for selection by using the “plus” button
d. Define which of the previously selected sections and how many characters of that section will be used for set-up reduction purposes
e. Finally define whether any tasks/SmartJobs that do not have a bus code will be sorted to the front, or back of the bus.
6. Save this configuration using the Save button at the bottom of the screen.
7. You do not need to assign a resource to this bus profile at this time. You can assign and unassign a resource at any time after saving this bus configuration. However, if you are ready to assign a resource select the next tab titled “Resources”.
a. Then select which resources to assign to this specific bus profile by checking the checkbox in the resource selection. You can assign as many, or as few resources as appropriate.
